Chrissa Loukas, a Greek-American, dives into a wide range of journalism areas and writes news, politics, features, arts and lifestyle articles. Her favorite stories are about humans overcoming obstacles and she is currently investigating court laws around sexual violence, as she pursues her newest project.

Chrissa is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s in Journalism at the University of Southern California where she received a Dean’s scholarship. In the meantime she is writing for the Daily Trojan digital newspaper and is a reporter for the Annenberg News Media where she also worked as a producer (ATVN).

Chrissa has an Associate’s Degree in Journalism from Santa Monica College. During her time there she worked at The Corsair Newspaper as a reporter and website editor for the news. Her weekly article updates about the coronavirus received record breaking numbers for the college paper when “Misdemeanor if Caught Outdoors, While Mercy Arrives to LA” reached over 23,000 views. She earned an award for ‘Best News Reporter’ and an award for ‘Excellence in Times of Adversity.’

During Chrissa’s time with The Corsair the Los Angeles Press Club awarded the newspaper at the 62nd SoCal Journalism Awards with 2nd place for Best College Newspaper and 3rd place for Best College News Website.
